Description
this is the C130 cargo supply plane that supports the Marine's Blue Angels and is nicknamed "Fat Albert". I captured it yesterday as it was preparing for takeoff in Fort Worth.the engines were running full speed during pre-flight checks
my title should be able to be understood with some close scrutiny
thanks for viewing and any comments
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!

Noticed the flag first and then wondered how a flying plane could do that. I see that it's still on the ground yet. Really beautiful craft.

Very cool shot, Richard. With the weight of a C-130.. Fat Albert is a proper name.. #;oD Looks like the tail rudder is at 35 deg. to one side.. But the plane is going straight ahead... It could indicate heavy side wind... but maybe i am mistaken.. not sure. Happy New Year to you and the family.. and best wishes for 2009.

Reverse engines, full speed ahead! Or as the Irish artillery sergeant said to his Bluebelly gunners being overrun by Rebs--"Elevate them sights a little lower, boys!" Much, much lower.

You certainly did with the flag flying that way. I like how this really stands out with the blue sky background. Nicely done.

Love the flag ... I'm sure a lil' "prop wash" will fix that though. :-)

Happy New Year Richard, hope you have a great 2009. This is an excellent capture you got here. The flag flying forward works well on a sail ship, first time I have seen it on a plane. That's a fine looking plane too. Well done!
