Description

We're still standing or sitting if you're tired at the same spot as before. Only now, we've turned our gaze a bit more towards the tree tops in the distance. In particular, the lone tree in the middle of our field of view. It doesn't look like much, but this tree is about 40 feet tall. It just seems small because it's in the low-point of the valley and all the other trees around it are on the slopes. The afternoon sun streams across the tree tops lighting the opposite hillside. The various colours of green lends a surreal look to the valley. As we gaze to our left, we see several trees covered with moss. This area would be a great place for all types of fae to play and hide in. Watching the humans troop by, lost in their human thoughts, not really paying attention to the beautiful world that surrounds them. Looking but not seeing the lush greens and golds that make up the summer foliage, not hearing the music of the waters as they dance around the rocks and cascade over the falls to the pool below, only to sing again as they move down the stream bed towards the Washougal River. We have lost that ability to be one with nature to exprience the true beauty as we hurry along, mis-thinking our priorities in life. They fae watch us with amusement and a touch of pity. Have a great 2009! Thanks for all the comments and faves this last year Mike

Simply amazing! I love this picture, and that lone tree, as I commented on your last post. I do wish that I could be there with you when you took these pictures. It is such a beautiful place and you do such a great job of capturing it.

cool picture... sorry your faes feel pitty for us, they could always drop some lose change in a bucket for me - lol 2000 and 8 was not that great... Bad things are still happening... My Broncos didn't make the playoffs, and If that wasn't a kick in the Butt, The owner Fired our head coach Mike Shanahan... The owner knows how to kick a good fan when their down... I'm starting to not like Pat Bowlen (the owner of the Broncos) ....I know, you saying Mike has been told I don't like football so what's he talk'n to me about it for??? I don't know - LOL .... It's just the fact that 2000 and 8 was not that great... I hope we'll be fine in 2000 and 9!!!
