Description

The morning after a beautiful tropical storm, with the clouds still caught amongst the forest trees. This is a Wet Sclerophyll forest which mostly occurs on the western edges of rainforest above about 400mts and at maturity typically has a tall open canopy of eucalypts with a structurally complex understorey including rainforest trees and shrubs, vines, ferns and herbs. Structural characteristics of the community may vary, depending on the intensity and characteristics of past disturbances including fire, logging, and partial clearing. I have so much catching up to do with so many gallery uploads to view,(this may take a while).

Excellent view. The closest I've ever come to this is living "in the field" during monsoon season in South Vietnam. Rain so heavy you can't see. Well done. Bill
