Description

Render time a little more than three hours; creation time about a three days. Thanks to the many who have contributed their files and work on the many things that constitute the composition of this scene: • Cottonwood Tree (autumn leaves) – lightning • Groundcover – lightning • Grass – klas • Hanana Rose flower – Bobby Stahr • Cirrus Clouds – FrankB …Visit Frank’s site at http://nwda.webnode.com/terragen-2-tech-packs/ where he offers some fantastic cloud file at very reasonable prices. • Rocks/stones – dandelO …Visit the Planetside forum ‘rock library’ to download the file which contains numerous sizes of rock, stones and pebbles. This image was a lot of fun creating. I was inspired to create this picture after reading some articles about ‘Moving Rocks’ in the Raceway area of the Death Valley in California. For more than 50 years now, scientists and enthusiasts have pondered on how these rocks (several hundred pounds and more) are able to move on level ground leaving their tracks in the dry lake bed. Many theories are offered; yet, science is baffled as to the cause of their movement. Interested? Very nice composition, and the slightly dense atmo gives this image a believable depth. This atmo softness might be able to add more realism to your tree population problem as seen in earlier renders... maybe! It certainly seemed to pay off bigtime in Moodflow's "Forest Valley" render of a few weeks ago.

@kanzler: This was not a teamwork; rather, it was my use of others' plant objects and clip files.
