Description
This is my first gallery post for the New Year.
In this interpretation, I am trying to bring a level of humanizing realism to the Superhero genre, pretty much like Hollywood has done for decades. This is my vision of the Man of Steel as created using DAZ3D's Michael 4 and the M4 Bodysuit for the first time in a major render.
The facial features were custom morphed by me. The Rievel Hair created by AprilYSH. Custom Texturing for the M4 Bodysuit was applied using shader nodes in the Poser Material Room. The emblem shield itself was enhanced and sharpen using the freeware vector program inkscape and decaled onto the costume also using the Material Room. No texture map painting performed. The trunks, belt and boots were free downloads provided by Vacasoft @ ShareCG.com. My thanks. Finally, Liquid Rust's LR Jayden skin texture (DAZ3D) was applied to M4 and superbly enhanced using Bill Baggin's excellent VSS Prop method. The scene lighting consists of 1 IBL without image-mapping, 1 infinite light and 2 spotlights without shadows. Superman's cape was intentionally omitted to reveal the fine-detailing in the costume.
Thank you for viewing and any comments posted will greatly be appreciated.

Good texture and render.

Nice work! No texture mapping makes it resolution independent...sweet! Great mork on the morphs, too.

Superbly done - but I still think he need a cape! Superb texturing in the Full View!

Great work! I have to agree with Phil, though ... he needs a cape ... plus you might change the POV just a bit ... from this angle it looks like he has a big red P.P. -stray-

I'm a long time huge fan of the man of steel. You put a ton of work into this render and it paid off bigtime. Superb job.
