Description

But who is guarding who? Still chasing my muse. I must render something, even if I'm not happy with it, lol. Sorry they didn't have a boring advisory. Thanks for viewing and commenting on this and my images of the past. Alchemy Chasim_Daz 3D LDP2 ahEnvironmentLight2

Love the epic scale, reminds me very much of the time I spent in Egypt a few years back, I have a picture of me posing next to an equally epic sized statue of Thoth, the bird-headed God (always wanted to add a caption saying 'me and my new bird'). Love the posing and lighting and you've made very original use of the Alchemy Chasm, bravo!

Very nice despite your own thoughts... when I loose my muse (too often unfortunately)... I tend to go back to a render or two I did at least a year ago. I add a camera... or move the one I had, strip the lights and ren re-light, often re-opose it. I try use use what I have learned sing the original was created, both in rendering and in post-work. The at the end I look at both. not always, but usually I am pleased and it gets the creative juices flowing again... Anyway it is just a thought. Rick

This reminds me of Tomb Raider II! I love the way you're your own biggest critic. It means when you like something you've done, it must be brilliant. If it helps, about the muse situation, it's never easy to make anything interesting with one figure. Most pics with one figure could be entitled "A person yesterday." or "And here I am at...". All your best work has involved character interaction. It could be a fight, a chase or even a look between them. That's my opinion anyway. I'd really love to see you play with expressions a lot more. Being the perfectionist you are, you're bound to come up with something special. Just trying to help, feel free to kick me in the nuts if I'm being overly forward.

So know where you're coming from-I'm struggling with a muse even if I have a theme in mind. Nicely done here with her pose against her 'protector'. :)

You have more comments on this one "boring" image than I might get on a half dozen images. My first thought before i read your comments was Who is gaurding who. The title fits the image perfectly.

Light and shadows are well worked out and give a good scale and depth view and visual. I like the idea of the scene.
