Thank you for visiting my Gallery and any comments or critiques are welcome.
Â
I started this adventure in March of 2008 with a desire to realize in images some of my writing that mainly focused on cause and affect of how changes to events in history, technology etc would affect the development of the world around us. 3D art has also increased my interest in mathematics - and how the physics of light and form have been modeled on the computer.
Tools: Bryce, DAZ 3D Studio, Hexagon, GIMP and UVMapperPro. I have been looking at options to create normal maps and to bake AO into the textures.
On Comments:
Thank you to all who have left comments on my images, favoured my images and myself as an artist and sent me friend invites. A special thank you for those that have left comments about what they do not like and what I may do to improve my images. As I am self taught these comments help me improve my work.
I do not have an insightful comment for every work of art I view that often a Hi I was here and appreciated what you have done is of distinct value.
Favorite Artist: Artist that I like the work that they do for a multitude of reasons. It does not mean I will comment on everything they release or even like everything they release. It does mean that I want to be able to look at every thing they release!
3D Art: What must the artist put into an image to claim it as their own instead of the reshuffling of the work of others? This question I find very relevant when considering some of the excellent work that is available as 'props'. These questions have driven me to learn how to work with textures and create/change models so that I can endeavour to put something of my own creation into the images IÂ publish.
Thanks again

My friend this is a true classic pinup scene and you should be proud. Your changes to the scene were perfect as your textures look great and your lighting exactly what one would expect in a nice pool hall.

Wonderful scene. I haven't even thought about using the other little things in DS as I'm still trying to get a handle on the basics This is a great Pin-up scene - sexy without having the woman nude! Extremely well done

You've certainly done her proud, awesome posing and expression. I like the feeling of movement both in the model and her dress. As far as the pin-up portion goes, I think the scene competes too much with the character. I believe the emphasis should be on the girl and not the whole scene. The viewer needs only a vague glimpse of the surroundings, their minds eye would fill in the activity. Perhaps a portrait render would help by cropping in closer to the figure. DOF could also place more emphasis on the main character, not sure if D|S can do that. If not, there would be ways around that with lighting. Sorry didn't mean to write a novel, and of course it's just my opinion.

Congratulations in breaking into new territory. Interesting, I'm working on my first (maybe only) pinup too. My creativity has waned a bit so I felt compelled to move into new territory, try a few things to try to get it back. Great job with this, you always seem to stretch D/S to incredible performance!

You did here a truly precise and perfect work for this snooker room. I love the enlighten atmosphere and the decoration you have made. Reflection on the ground is a subtle part, well done. And girl is so tasty... :-) C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S !

Really like the expression you have on her face. Almost like she just got caught 'playing a man's game.' Great pin-up render.

A great looking scene! I love the lighting you created, and I agree - I've always found pinups to be more difficult than I first thought. But you've done a terrific job here :)
