Description

Hello ! These Glassballs must be cleaned once in a while, dont they? :) That is what I did before Christmas and while they were on the table and the sun was shining through them, I thought I could as well take som shots of them. Here is one of them. The nets are made by my late father and my late uncle (his brother) My father was a Cook on a ship and my uncle was ingeneer on another ship in their young days. There was one more brother who was mate. No wonder, that my middle name is Anker (anchor) huh? :) Thanks for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special warm thanks to you who added it as favorites :))) Have a lovely sunday. It is not so cold outside today, but grey and no wind. The crows Katrine and Alfred are walking around eating all the crumbs from the little birds coconuts filled with lard and birdseed I made the other day. I think I am a bit better today.:-)

yes, a luminous capture & composition; and, like your plant & insect macros, you got just the right amount of sheen & inner glow. It really feels like one of your macros, where you show us the light & glow we usually never see. Nice light on the ropes too! I love this piece, and I'm happy to hear you're feeling a little better. May it continue!

Beautiful! It seems like anything with colored glass, and sunshine coming through them, are always a spectacular shot. Just ask auntietk on that. It is even more interesting that your family made this, and worked on ships. That is tremendous.

This is so incredible. I have seen so many of these balls over the years. I come from an area of fishing villages and I have always loved the colors. You really caught these in a perfect light and I love knowing how the netting came to be. It also brought to mind my oldest son's middle name...Derrick. His grandfather owned an oil drilling company on the Gulf Coast and living in Texas then, I felt his name should include the family history. :-)
