Description

Full size view recommended. Maybe some of you remember an image I posted a few months ago, "Old Land of Giant Gods", link below. I decided to give it a sequel and give some more clues about the story in my mind behind it. thumb_1714990.jpg This new image was fun to make. All terrains were modelled and eroded in GeoControl2, as usual. It was fun to break the moon in pieces. That ship was my second attempt on ship modelling. I do like minimalistic designs and I think that as technology evolves the technical details will be hidden, like antennas, ventilators, etc, and maybe even doors. thumb_1789432.jpg Thanks for watching!

Great broken moon! That's really a striking sight. Yep, I think you're probably right about the future of ship design. But the trick is to make those minimalistic designs look interesting (odd are there will be future ship designers focusing more on looks than functionality). So far, you've done a great job with the previous design and this one too.

Your skills in making a landscape look real are very impressive, as is your ability to narrate a story through imagery. The water and the rocks near it are my favorite parts. The space ship itself is very elegant and I really like the way it is 'parked' on a point, suggests it has technologies we dont know about...I have doubts about its positioning in terms of composition - it 'breaks' the right hand side of the image from the left somehow.

Entertainment! Great story it took me a moment to find the ship between the man on the shore and admiring the work with the broken moon.

That is so super cool. Also, I love that you put the guy under the shade of the tree so he isn't the focal point. Now, HOW THE HECK DID YOU DO THAT MOON? AND WHAT TEXTURE DID YOU USE?

You are CRAZY at photorealistic lighting and textures!! Every single aspect is masterfully done. The composition is sweet... It pulls my eyes in a nice pattern (I can't explain it well, sorry). But of all places, where I get stuck looking is the lower left, where the water is gathering in front of the rocks. There are so many beautiful materials there, and their interactions are brilliant! For instance, the affect of the moisture crawling up from the bottom of rock, the wetness of the sand near the water... Your background plateaus, btw, look like they were clipped right out of some pictures I took in Arizona. :P Absolutely fabulous work!

Every image I see from you is a very new nice surprise. Like a fan of Vue I am trying to learn from you. I canĀ“t comment, bec I like all. And there is more: every image tell me a story, deep one, like a dream or like a reminiscence of inconscious feelings and lost places in memory. Congrats!
