Great job. I am about to try my first vehicle in Vue. Was the lighting a lot different than your portraits? It appears that HDRI is what many people use for vehicles.

I've never tried this in Vue, so I'm not sure how to comment. I think the basic lighting is excellent, but I'm not totally happy with the reflections. The reflections make the car surface look uneven and are washed out in some areas. If you want to try this with some different backgrounds then http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/index.html might be worth a look. The sibl system does not have a loader for Vue, but the archive sets contain good quality reflection images that might work as basic IBL images in Vue. Please don't take my comments out of context, since I am a great admirer of your work. All the best for 2009, Mike
