Description

This picture was taken at Watauga Lake in TN. They have had a drought here and this is how much the water has dropped. I thought it made for a neat photo. Looks like a deserted island. I hope all have had a nice weekend. Thank you for all previous comments and favorites. Take Care, Bronwyn

Didn't relize that the drought had hit Tenn so hard. This is a great capture to show just how serious it is. I also think that the island makes the capture that much better. Dana P

It's just beautiful... I would certainly volunteer first and foremost to be stranded on this "desert" / deserted Island.... : ) A most peaceful and serene atmosphere.... excellent composition!

I know it's sad that the water level is down, but hopefully it will come up again. I've seen Lake Shasta with a 50 foot drop in water level, and that's pretty scary. This is still a very beautiful scene, I love the tall trees.

We are also suffering from drought here in Northern California. Our lakes are much like this. I like this shot. Great pov and composition.

Bronwyn you have captured so much here, and I love the POV it really is a perfect place for you to shoot from. It is quite beautiful the trees upright and fallen to the left, then onto the island that is touched by the sun, where the little copse of trees huddle together, and then the eye doesn't linger but goes onto the mist on the wooded hilltop. Yes a really interesting and excellent image, which to me tells a story, thank you for sharing, hugs Jane xx

This looks so much like Juniper lake in Lassen Volcanic Park in California! I just love the color of the dirt. Our Lake Shasta is at it's lowest ever right now. Looks very strange being so empty. Very beautiful scene you've captured here!
