Description

I have had the honour of being best man at three weddings, this one was a chap I met first via CB radio 23 years ago. This picture taken by Gerry's wife Margaret using my camera was 21 years ago, I am the one with the hair. Lol. I was in training even then though, you can't see the thin spot on the top of my head. Gerry passed away a couple of years back due to a brain tumour/tumor, but I still see Margaret now and again. Gerry was a great bloke, always had a smile on his face and would give you the coat of his back if he thought you needed it. I have been going through some old pictures and scanning them into the computer, this was one of the first I came across. I was 39 years old when this was taken. Sory I have not been around much but I have had one or two small problems over the last couple of months. I have had some good news though, I recieved a letter last Saturday informing me I am booked in to hospital for my injections on the 12th of January. So with a bit of luck I should be a bit more mobile after that date. I will be playing catch up with quite a few of you as well. Snow fell here overnight and there is more forecast for the remainder of the week. So rather cold here at the momment. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. I hope it's warm and cozy where ever you are.

Gerry did look a genial fellow Jeff, a real salt of the earth, I can see it in his face, I have this uncanny knack of looking at someone and getting a reading of them, the same applies to you my friend, a happy go lucky chap by the looks of it, great news that you will get the jabz you need mate :)

Good to see you back mate! This is a pleasant way to remember your ole pal Gerry with a smile, he looks a great bloke, and you look terrific! You look like you were a bit of a charmer Jeff. You have told me a lot about your mate and a very sad tale about the train ride that you tried to get him onto. Anyway enough of that, it's a great photo and I'm glad that you are getting them scanned.

I am so glad I see post from you again Jeff. I was worried because I did not see your uploads for a long time. Sad, when you get older you lose so much friends and relatives around you, I know. Great photo my friend.
