Phoenix Rouge©2009 NGN Arise, fair maiden Burn all assumptions away! Flames of scarlet lick within her soul Eyes closed to your want and need, She cares not Content within herself Unencumbered by trivialities, Not bound by any tradition or law of man A red bird of fire Poised to take flight Sets the sky ablaze as she climbs A firework display of the finest kind Ethereally beautiful and unassailable Eluding the grasp of mortals Phoenix remains unsullied Soaring to the furthest golden height before the headlong plummet to earth Descending in a burst of crimson stars A gift to your blackened soul, The Purifier cleanses all as she is born anew poem was inspired by the image, and written my Fiance.
