Description

Two pen & wash drawings of plants in the cold... they get a bit crumpled & they probably complain, but they hold up with real dignity. Hope I captured their strength...
* * * * * * PS--they're fuller & brighter full-view! Have a great Friday! Mark

These could be any number of plants in my garden. The frost got my cannas, they're so sad looking, yet when I look underneath, I see green. I'll leave them for now, those sorry looking leaves act as an overcoat, (well, that's my theory, anyway), but come spring, they'll be back in all their glory. I love this for all its simplicity and sweetness.

Well Mark their dignity may be a bit ruffled but they are both wonderful creations and served to brighten my morning so well. Looking at them in full view I notice the gentle detailing and just wanted to say you did great my friend.

Frost? I can see the tops of the rocks on the borders of our garden because the snow lumps there! I'm tried of rooting in the snow for interesting things LOL, yet these two encourage me to continue on with it. Both very well done, delicate drawings, personally the warm tones of the wash/paper on top draws my eye more, feels more complete somehow. Not sure how these work as a diptych, seems like there should/could be a third note in between the two . . . . Have a great visual weekend Mark! ~tim

simple yet beautiful, minimalism, little things are often overseen. but that doesnt mean that they are not strong :)

This is simply wonderful and so well done! I love the delicate feeling that this has and yet there is a strength within that you have brought out. Splendid work!

Nice job! The top one looks especially brittle while the bottom one is delicately fragile. Both are top notch and YES you did capture the strength and persistence of these lovely plants.

They look simple, but on closer viewing I can see the thought that has gone into each of them. I love the intro too, you are indeed a very gifted artist, and I can tell you have a certain sensitivity to all that is around you. Wonderful art and excellent presentation. hugs Jane xx

So pretty, and I agree with Jane, your work shows your sensitivity and what a wonderful quality to have.
