Description

I only go to the sea once a year, August. This shrub reminded me a tidal wave breaking against the shore. I would like to dedicate this sepia to Mark (anahata.c), the most encouraging person at RR Photography who understands the works I make a great deal better than I do. Thank you, Mark. Nikolay

The lighting and multiplication in this is truly exquisite, Nikolay. I love the simplicity of the soft sand that underlies the complexity of stems weaving inside themselves. I can see the tidal wave, too. Splendid photographic art.

the image left me wordless when I saw it...and I am more grateful than I can say for your words. I don't know if I'm more encouraging than others, but I sure love the journey, and this gallery is just extraordinary, so I could say that you did all the work & I just reported what I saw! Thank you, Nikolay! The image shows part of your genius, ie, to see waves inside of something as simple as a shrub, and give us overlays of tones & lights & darks so we get a whole new world out of it. The result is a shrub that not only has a life inside it, but which granulates into energies on all sides. And you give us ghosts around it too, like it lives in several dimensions at once. And your light & dark—one of your trademarks—is just exquisite. Beautiful image Nikolay, and I'm more grateful than I can say for the dedi. You made my day after a difficult month, you truly did. I'm very grateful...(oh, and a fav for sure: I'd have picked it with or without your very kind words! It's scintillating!)

Wonderful work! The flow of the forms are wonderful and to see beyond the appearances in this one is fabulous.

And yet I see the shelter underneath it. Perhaps because of all the rabbits that seek shelter in our yard despite the dogs! A lovely and stark image because of the conrasts of light and dark, yet gives a sense of security, a hiding place for the small creatures
