Description

Stalactites in Carlsbad Cavern, New Mexico. This picture was photographed in September 1998 and later scanned. PS: I used a tripod and my Nikon, but the tripod moved, hence the slight blurr. This is one cavern I have not visited in the southern regions that are open to the public. I have done several in my life but the popularity of this one kept me away, not wishing to be awash in tourists. I'm so happy to see what I am missing and maybe one day, I'll get to this one. :-)

Are the lights colored, or do the colors exist in the growths themselves? Whichever, it's a lovely mix, and even with the movement blur it's beautiful!
