Description

This was taken a while ago, when things were much greener lol I went back and browsed through my photo's a little bit today and thought I'd upload this one. A bit too much detail in foreground? I'm thinking maybe so ... tell me what you think. Postworked in Topaz. Hope you are having a nice weekend! Thanks for stopping by ....... Shari Check out the January's Photography Forum Challenge!! There's more fun to be had here, too! Check it out!! :-) Words In Pictures *********************************************** Thank you for your comments & Favs on my previous upload!!: "Sunrise in Minnesota ..." thumb_1811039.jpg

keep the foreground...it gives the pond character. Hey, nice new avatar! Somebody asked me about changing mine...replied that I even change my socks at least twice a year :-) Bill

Interesting scenery just the way it is. Also, I am thinking if this was split down the middle, then you'd have two interesting scenes. What do you think? Either way, your postwork is marvelous, and I really like that. ;o)

There were many similar landscapes like it when I was living in Finland (in the summer time). Great work like always, even if I didn't seen your photo art for 2 years :)

Stellar contrasts and lighting effects beyond description, Sharilyn! If it weren't so green, I'd swear this was a shot of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach, California! The brush, the swamp, the dead trees.......all that is missing is the desiccated ambiance.

I love the scene, the colors, and the postwork! I've been playing with that same Topaz filter to see how far I can go with it. I love what you've done here! Gorgeous image.

I would have cropped the green foreground had it not been for the interesting area of the water and reflection. Good decision in my opinion. Why do I get the idea you love this place? :)

I really like the forground detail. It doesn't distract from the overall image. Nice to see some lush greens this time of year.

Very pretty pond, and you composed it so nicely! I like the post work, and I love topaz, especially when I see it used well, as you did here. Not overdone at all, and a a very nice effect you achieved! :-)
