This is great! If you did not have these what would you photograph? Anyway do you really believe a bit of smoke is going to do much damage? This world was here long before humans were here and will be here long after we go.

I love the way the Nisqually Valley looks when the low fog rolls in. Such beauty! I understand your intention (although those stack emissions are mostly water vapor) but this is absolutely gorgeous. I love the pastel colors, the striations formed by clouds, sun and mountains ... this really is a wonderful photograph.
