Than dead! This was inspired by "Red Sonya" by SeanE in the Digital comics area. He is a colorist for the industry apparently. Anyway, I wanted to try to get close to the dynamic pose in his piece. As you can see 2D will always kick 3d's butt. I got close but not nearly as close as I wanted. I also tried the set-up just like the cover at first, but the dragon haunches loomed to big in the camera as to be overpowering. That combined with 3 separate 12-hour renders until I finally gave up on trying to get close to the overall scene. Lights were a problem too. Then after getting a final render I had to re-touch some wierd grid in my ground texture and try to paint over an extra knife in her sword hand...sigh.
