Description

Okay. I know, I know. I been pretty busy with the renders lately. 3 in one week. Sue me. :) This one's definitely a big departure for me. Not just in the use of Vic, but especially in the area of heavy postwork. Let me know whatcha think pls. Most definitely in the 'what I'm doing wrong' area. And thanks for taking a look. kmw

I think you are on the right track. The only thing that looks a little off are her eyes. That is the one thing that I noticed about Poser and Vue. Is that they make the eyeballs look like they are floating in the eyesockets. Otherwise good job!!!

i think your lighting is excellent, the skin shader looks great, and the splash looks both natural and artistically sound. i like her face. her hair is looks too light for the lighting, too blue to be natural or go with her brows, and not wet. if it's purely painted, i'd suggest a more limited and higher contrast palette. wet means smaller and brighter highlights, and darker (less diffuse) shadows, as well as clumped and heavy as opposed to flowing and light. and her pupils look like they have burned in highlights, considering her irises are completely in shadow. i do like your eye material and how you dealt with them in general. her expression looks intent and focused, and not vacant, even though it's very subtle. personally, i've found that type of expression hard to achieve. i think this is a great work, and i'm very impressed with it.

I like those eyes and especially that nose! Super pretty. But something to bear in mind... Think of what you know intuitively of the way water behaves. She is not a giant, and she has not been sprayed with an atomizer. What I'm trying to say is that for more realism, I believe the water droplets should be bigger.

Really great work, I agree the water droplets should be bigger and her hair should look wet, but it's a great render, so awesome!
