Description
In 1980 Mount St. Helens erupted creating the world's largest mudslide. Twenty-five years later we can see water creating a new canyon. As water flows every year for several more decades we will see the canyon becoming deeper and deeper, eventually becoming a "grand" canyon. Water is a most amazing creator. We are the witness.

Was this also the site of the pyroclastic flow? If so, it's remarkable how quickly the plant life has returned...

Wonderful photograph!

Colin, Definitely, the ash which wrapped up this earth is pyroclastic flow. Surprisingly, the power of natural reproduction is quicker than our imagination. Regards, Henry

Wonderful image Henry! I watched a Nat.Geo. show not too long ago about the Mt St Helen's eruption! Fascinating and very scary turn of events that led to the disaster!
