Description
Captain's Log: Stardate 59042.3
Our mission at Sierra Leone has hit a snag as a fleet of Cardassian warships approach the planet. Nova Squad is still some twenty minutes away, which leaves only the Excalibur to defend it.
While the use of force is justified in this matter, I choose to use it only as a last resort. I need to know why the Cardassians are trying to reclaim a system they no longer have rights to. I need to know if there's any advantage for us to exploit.
Most of all, I need to buy us time.

@Pakled: Excalbur: Escape 2 Africa? :) No, this conflict didn't reach Earth, at least not so far. This is what backstory I have right now: A few years after the end of the Dominion War, Sierra Leone is one of five border DMZ worlds that just declared independence from the Federation. The Excalibur is there to secure Federation assets before the handover. As for the Cardassians' role...stay tuned. Thank you for all your comments, everyone!
