Description
Located in Aberdeenshire the house and grounds are part of the Scottish National trust and open for visitors.
Originally designed by William Adam in 1732 and refurbished in 1880, the house combines crisp Georgian architecture with sumptuous late Victorian interiors. Throughout the house and grounds, family portraits, monuments and memorabilia build up a fascinating history of the Gordon family over the centuries. The superb collection of paintings includes works by Pompeo Batoni, William Mosman, Sir Thomas Lawrence and James Giles.

Impressive building..lovely light ;-). Sounds like a good place to put on the "to visit" list...if I ever make it back to the mainland again.

Flying over my house again? Luckily I wasn't out back sunbathing! Excellent shot, Garlor! I always look forward to your aerial shots.
