Description

Before I saw all the plants in Fort Meyers on the Edison Museum Estate I would have siad this was a cypress. After that I think it's a cycad which is older than a palm. Coal Age stuff in my upbringing. Isn't it just a fossil? There they were. Incluidng the sabel palm which is a secret switch in Florida because there is a teen age detention camp by that name. The sabel palms have caught some sort of disease now. This is the most formal setting for a plant of this type. I have no idea where native species of this might be found. In the bible palms are the symbol of daughter. 70 palms is specifically mentioned in that context.

Unique concept! Cycad, Cylon, or Sabel, it's definitely not a dance around a mulberry bush.
