Apart from the goofy expression on her face, and not being able to get the skirt to lay down right I was happy with this render. My computer was Not! I believe render time was about 10 hours.. that was before I went from 512mb to 4gb of ram.. what a difference!
The car is a high poly model of a Cobra that I found online and did some major reconstruction on to cut down on the poly count.. actually in this render the back half of the car is gone.. I cut it off to keep render time down.. wasn't going to show it all anyway!
Thanks to Pretty 3d for the free Lassie of the Sea items.. that's her dress there and Kozaboro's messy short hair with a custom mat I made.
Second in a series I'm working on tentatively titled "Rock Star".
Still working on the full girl band set in 3ds Max.. way too much for poser to handle with the stage show, guitars, full drum set, etc... besides I have a lot more control over camera and lights there... or at least I know how to use them better in Max.. lol.
Enjoy!

Fine. Maybe you could have tamed the skirt by applying a magnet. Have you found a decent way to import 3d Max things into Poser? I go through a .dwg - .3ds transform, but almost always end up with missing facets, if you know a way round, please tell me ....

I do a lot of custom items in 3ds max for my models. I found that exporting from Max as .obj files works best. They import right into poser without a problem. There is a lot of fudging with the scale of the objects when they first come in. For some reason they tend to be huge! I've tried scaling down in Max before I export them, but it's hard to get them small enough there without the mesh exploding or leaving verts behind. They seem to scale fine in poser without any issues with the mesh getting trashed. I just take the time to scale, rotate and move the xyz positions until it's perfectly in place where intended then parent it to what I want it to stay with and save it as a prop... then no trouble next time.. it comes in and stays where it's supposed to... may have to tweek sometimes with positioning if the pose I'm using is a little extreme.. depends on what it is. I haven't tried magnets yet... got to work those out. I'm just getting back into poser after a very long absence.. last time I used it Poser4 was current!
