I was camping on a lonely stretch of river once, at the bottom of a steep canyon. I have a total fear of bears...I'll face a cougar or anyother animal with confidence, but a bear will make me wet myself! Well, I decided to climb the canyon walls by myself one morning for something to do and was about 75 feet up, hardly begun the climb, when I happened to look up to measure my distance to the top and say a bear WAY up there looking down at me. I climbed down - rather, slid down...to the base again and went and sat in my tent. I didn't unzip myself from the tent until the rest of my party returned about 2 hours later. I don't "do" bears... This is a fabulous shot of this area and the dense forest is very inviting...but no, thanks...I think I'll stay here and just look at it from a distance. LOL

Nice to see the logging crews have left this alone. Beautiful water streaming thru the dense foliage. The felled tree in the distance really adds interest to the photo.

Very dense indeed! Knowing it was bear country, I think I would be very wary!

Wow, what beautiful lush & strong forest. Don't know about your bears but if they kill people they must be respected. Still, I'd like to roam around or even canoe down this beautiful river. Wonderous capture!!
