Description

With this one I have Meisiekind in mind especially, she really gave me some kind warmth when it was needed most. Of course a lot of people gave warmth here on renderosity, and it helped me keep my head straight, and sure you are on my mind also, you all helped me a lot, and probably I'm back in a studio appartment by the 1th of february, I managed to get myself the needed income for it, I can only hope and prey it will be in time, but still, if I am not, the income will help me find anything soon so I'm in fact looking at a hard period wich will end not too far from now. Thank you all, I would have had a much rougher time without you. Thom

Awww Thom, what a lovely and special thing to say--- so glad that things are looking brighter for you, and I'm sure they will continue to do so. Your image is fantastic... it has a most superb mood and atmosphere. The very thought of this being a Monastery goes most perfectly with the entire tone of the image. I love that ominous, historic value it has.. overcast, sullen.... isolated.... A tremendous capture, with superb lighting and POV!

The soft lighting and subject in this image reminds me of the painter Thomas Kinkade. Very nice. :-)

Stunning image! I was thinking Kincade too...lovely violet light against the amber foliage. Glad there's a light at the end of your tunnel!

I have waited to hear if the funding came through and now I am at rest that it appears it will all happen on time. I have my fingers crossed for you. I don't like having a friend struggling so hard as you and your attitude should be an example to everyone who thinks they have something to complain about. This is a stunning shot. The view is marvelous.

The best part is the part where things are pulling together for you! I am just so filled with joy that there is to be a place for you, that the money will be enough to make it all happen. There is hope in the image of the monastery, but yet it has a feeling of somber isolation. The colors are marvelous, but then I have always found great beauty in the softer colors of winter, the tree branches so crisply drawn against the skies, and the blanket of snow to highlight it all. Winter in the Netherlands appears to be very special, we don't often see frost covering things the way it seems to in our pictures, it makes everything look so magical.
