Description

Why can't things just work themselves out without our input? Why can't everything that we want just kind of show up? Hmm... this is definitely something to ponder. Every morning we wake to an infinite potential and possibility. There is a strange thing about all of this potential and possibility, we have to choose some direction in order for events to unfold in our lives. Sometimes we will choose quickly as though we have a hunch or feeling about the outcome. And at other times we anguish over our choice as though it is almost impossible. But choose we must and even when we choose not to choose, we have made a choice and started a new potential and possibility. Do you want to know a secret? Every choice that we make is the right choice for us at that given moment in time. If a choice does not work out, we should look at the outcome and make another choice and this time we will incorporate what we have learned from our prior choice. So... with so many choices, what is the right choice? They are all right for that given moment when we choose. Why? Because, when we choose, we open up the door to a new set of potential and possibility. Listen to your heart and listen to your body. They will tell you when a choice is right for you. When listening only with the head, we tend to miss the signals from the soul self and we just might miss something special. So today... just for today... allow yourself to be in the moment and listen to that inner self when you are ready to make a choice. You just might be surprised at some of the outcomes. How divine. How simply divine. Our thought for today is: 'I am filled with a possibility that has great potential. Today I shall let that possibility guide me so that I can realize my potential.' in the ancient Hindu pantheon, there are many gods & goddesses who have multiple arms & legs because their choices are so many, they can't possibly enact them all with 4 limbs. Their limbs are limbs of the spirit, and some say that it has infinite arms & legs. Why? So the soul can dance into infinity. Your text, as always thoughtfully written, reflects that, and the sense that our choices are part of a larger beautiful dance...In your art, I think of these candies we had as children, a glazed sugared-candy made with cream, thus their opaque sheen...this painting is candy of the soul (the sugar turned to sweetness of heart), and you've made a ballet of them winding & weaving in & out of each other. I've thought about your relation between word & image, and realized that each gives something to the other. This image gives beatitude to your words, it's doing a dance to your words and is not just a picture 'of' your words. It's beautiful Gayle. And those Hindu sprits will sit sometimes and watch their souls dance, and smile in utter bliss. I think people pick that up from you, that you dance & smile as you do, like Sarasvati watching the beauty of creation re-create itself every second, and what else can she do but sing?
