Description

I just couldnt resist taking another shot of this Christmas cactus, which is so old, that it had been standing in my grandmothers house, while she lived. It is not that beautiful anymore, but I cant bare to drop it. And it still gives me sweet flowers as you see here. I finally got my problem solved about why i didnt get the camera info posted with the photo. It seems, that I must not use the compression Optimizer in psp9, so I must only use save as. :) Doesnt matter, because psp is saving very nicely in even lower KB automaticly. Thanks for your kind comments and favs to yesterdays post. I have been busy all day and now i am so tired, that i can batrely hang on to my chair LOL ! But it has been a great day with my children and grandchildren. No weather... oh ok it was cold but sunny almost all day :)

Wonderful colors, light and details. We have such a Christmas cactus too, but it doesn't bloom this year.

This is so wonderful! And timely for me. I heard from Flannelman today and he told me his peach colored Christmas Cactus is blooming. I encouraged him to post a shot but who knows if he'll cooperate. Sooo, here you come along and put up this gorgeous, beautifully done one and I'm happy as a clam. :-) Great pov! Fabulous detail.

What a glorious blossom. I haven't tried to grow one of these in years. They do treat us to the sweet treats of their flowers just when we need them, tho. Very nice shot.

a bloom downwards, right down to those wonderful stamens! I love the stem of the flower too (at top) because you allowed light to come through it and it shines. And your background seems almost painted on, it swirls oh-so gently. This is beautiful. The flower opens up in successive waves...and its age has only made it more beautiful. Thanks for catching this for us, Helle. You always make nature magic & wonderfully alive. I mean always.

Lovely flower and capture ! .....here in the States a lot of growers want to drop the "Christmas" and just call them Holiday Cactus....isn't that ridiculous !

Helle, I have missed so many great uploads from you, cannot comment on all, so I choose this wonderful cactus flower. Such a gorgeous shot, reminding me of cactuses i once had but died when I moved last time.
