Description

I thought that tonight I'll take you on a short game drive... I wanted to share some of the very basic experiences when visiting one of the Wildlife Parks in South Africa. These two images were captured in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. They are really not great but should hopefully give you a glimpse of the joy of a game drive!!!! The animals always have right of way. The giraffe in the top image took his sweet time and walked in the road to join his family just off the road. (visible in the image with some zebra too.) He was one of a group of about twelve I watched for a long time!!! The second image was shot through my car's front windshield. I purposely left some of the car in the image to give you an idea of distance. This crossing (do you see the baby?) caused a traffic jam from both sides and is very common when doing game drives. Wow, Carin. That is amazing and certainly one thing I would insist on seeing if I were EVER to visit. To see that here we get to watch them pace in cages. Sadly, I don't think they are nearly so colorful and vivacious. Thank you for taking us along!

I'm totally in awe and slightly jealous ... :-) Its incredible you get so close to these marvelous creatures and by these shots, they don't seem to have any fear of tampering by humans in cars. You really do live the dream, don't you?

Well you are right I never saw this either Carin, and I never got an e bot either, and I have also been recieving IM's in triplicate, Oh well guess the rendo team will sort out any troubles, onto the image, what a great idea this is a wonderful opportunity for us who are fenced in here with buildings evey two feet, beautiful work my friend.

Me too Carin...no ebot for this very well done collage. You must have wondered where some of us went :-) Both this collage and the one you've put up today (Bruce's Birthday) do not open to full size views. But have no concern...it'll get sorted out. These are wonderful game parks very well photographed!
