Description

My husband is always complaining that we never get any snow where we live. Therefore, I made some for him. Made using Vue 7 Esprit and a tutorial from Geekatplay.com. No post work except for signature.

Nice snow scene, Kathy. The terrain looks like a lot of tombstones, I suppose, but not in a spooky fashion. We have had our longest, coldest spell of weather in Glasgow, Scotland, for at least 18 years, and it's not getting any better. After three weeks of it, it seems we'll probably have another fortnight, at least. Local authorities quickly ran out of rock salt for treating the roads. The Scottish First Minister, had to educate the English quarry where it is hewen out. He informed them, that Scotland is not offshore, and that they could safely send their product north... ;O) As one of the TV presenters said yesterday. With all this talk of 'global warming', the deity seems to be having a little laugh at the scientists. Our church congregation, being mainly elderly has shrunk from around 1200 a weekend, to less than 300! Daily attendance almost reached single figures on Saturday. The pavements are not deep with snow, but covered in ice sheathed, rutted snow, and have not been treated yet. As usual the motorist getting into the city has priority, not the pedestrians ( the vast majority in Glasgow ) outside the shopping malls. I'll not advise you to keep warm, because I'm sure that your part of the States has not had the terrible snow storms of the eastern seaboard. We normally get those, although on a lesser scale, about a week or so later. after they get across the Atlantic. This year they have had to contend with weather fronts from Russia coming from the east, and steady, cold winds from the arctic north. Warm regards, from an icebound Glasgow, John.
