December 2006...view from my daughters patio looking South toward Loughcrew Hills, Oldcastle, Co Meath Gales today with wind gusts of 120/140km per hr, more of the same overnight with sleet & snow...so could be waking up to this... The news featured a newsman demonstrating how to make a hammer out of a banana in the frigid weather in the northern part of the country. Brrrrrrrrr. Wonderful shot of this snowy scene.

sorry it took me so long to come to your gallery, one because you were kind enough to come to mine, and two, because I've seen you so many places on Rosity and you always leave intelligent comments and I've wanted to come here for some time. This is a sensitive shot, almost of a dream, piled up towards the back-center in a beautiful mound of increasing land & snow; and covered in a patina of hard-core winter hues. You caught the patchwork of the land nicely, and framed it nicely with sky and with those bushes upfront. A sensitively seen shot. I'm in Chicago, and it's nice to know that the Isles get the same winters: There's a stereotype here that the Isles get mild winters. Obviously it's a stereotype...Dramatic but gentle, a fine winter shot. I'll be back again...
