Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I've always loved the false front buildings. There is such a history about them and their origins. Interesting to see them without your special treatment. :-)

Stunning images and fascinating buildings... I really loved what you did with them Bill! :)

Great shots Bill. I would imagine you could find any number of old treasures in places like that...and thats probably just the staff! Speaking about false fronted buildings, car yards around here do it all the time. They have a massive facades at the front, and a tin shed at the back!

It's so interesting to see the originals! Great shots in their own right - the textures of those old boards are wonderful. Good stuff!

Very impressive looking old buildings Bill. Nice to see them this way too.

That's great! I like them even better this way, as I can see all the things I might purchase. I'll have the woodpile for starters, and the galvanised bath.

I think my niece lived there for a while; I'll have to ask her if she ever saw those other versions--but these are charming old buildings!!

Lovely old treasures! :)

Ahh. No thanks about entering the top image store - long past its time. It does look like the present in the background with some sort of silos. More fun as the spooky images IMO.

The wood has some pretty neat textures, and the olde worlde feel is fantastic, nice shots Bill.

Great. I always wonder what these building were like in "their day" Who were the people? Many questions. Thanks. We have some GA mountain snow going on here. Nothing like you guys have but for the "Sunny South" a real treat.

These old buildings have such charm, and I'm glad you showed the originals. If only those walls could talk!

Looks like the shops you see in the middle of nowhere in horror films, all a bit spooky.

Say, those stores don't look so menacing as seen during the daytime! Sharp clarity and lots of character depicted in these great captures, Bill!

They do have a lot of character but your treatment really brightened them up and gave them a different spin.

I love these old buildings. The bottom one reminds me of a saloon, I thought that on the previous posting of it. These are great shots this way or in your previous postings.
