Actually that is pretty much what I was thinking. He was her boyfriend but then he was killed, so now he is an angle but he cant let go of her and so have sworn to protect her from evil till he can go on. something like that

Amazing image and It finally dawn on my what the lighting of your characters look like Especially here!! It looks like when you catch someone in a bright flash out of a dark setting a sudden bfffff of Brilliants!! I love their look the setting all really come of Perfectly right down to how his wings almost come around them Awesome image!!
