Description

The figure-drawing is staggering, isn't it? Well this was in the Rijksmusuem but they said I could borrow it for a day. And that dog? Maybe the finest canine-drawing since the 14th Century. (You can disagree, but really--that's fine draftsmanship!)

ROFLMAO! How I love the expressions on these uninvited visitors. We have had one person for many years, who visit us once in a while and we did rather not have this persons attention :))) I am laughing most at the dogs expression HAHAHAHAHA ! I love it.

what strikes me is the unified grin and the waggling tail.

This is so great Mark and you literally had me smiling from just the thumb for this one. I must agree that dog is just about the finest canine drawing ever done, and I love how his expression matches that of his owners. Speaking of them I must say you captured perfectly a group of people we all know too well. Those who come for a short visit and never want to leave. Great one

Yes, They come, they stay, they conquer and they loom larger than life! They do seem to be waving... is that possibly a hint of goodbye? Is this a Minnesota goodbye?? lol. The dog seems to have figured it all out as HE knows they are not leaving anytime soon. grin P.S. One of the finest drawings I've ever laid eyes on.

Fine art at its finest, Mark! They remind me of the assistants in Kafka's Castle that won't leave the side of K not matter what he says or does to them!

This is charming and fills the soul with laughter and delight. Yes, I would say that this is museum quality to be sure and I am glad that you were able to share it with us. Wonderful work my friend.

I kinda like this. Picasso was right. You have acheived very quickly, what took Picasso a lifetime, to acheive.#;oD "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."...Pablo Picasso.+5 Smile.! #;o)

OMG, this is SO funny--those people who laugh too loud, smoke (even if you make em go outside, they stink), drink too much and NEVER leave--oh and yeah, they bring their damn dog, who, of course, chews your favorite couch, poops on the white shag rug ( had a dog that did that once, but that's yet another story!!), and stays WAY too long!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!

This is hilarious. I like your cartoons. They make me laugh. I like how both arms are raised and their expressions are all the same--including the dog's. Very funny, and something we can all relate to. I will catch up with your serious pieces, but sometimes it's so relaxing to be able to laugh and smile. You have a gift for humor. Thanks for this. : )

Just sorting through some 'old mail' [from the inbox] to clean the dust and spiderwebs off, in order to file away and came across this 'oil-painting', must be worth a pretty penny by now... you just know, how to bring them [those pesky visitors] alive on canvas, OK, so it was only 'pen on paper'... and I hope they were waving goodbye, for your sake ! that was in 2009 [!] when posted, don't tell me they are still around ? this appeals to the Ozzie sense of humour and made my day, 🎭 thanks Mr. T.
