Description

After creating a watercolor painting using Gertrudis Pro which is a software that transforms images into handmade drawings. The brushstrokes of the drawings can simulate watercolor, oil painting, crayon, and other variety of styles. Also you can define your own styles. I merged the painting with the original image and faded it to add in more of the original detail. I have had the software for a couple of years and since the snow has gotten so deep that even my recent subjects, the squirrels, are not looking for peanuts. I thought I’d experiment with it and find new possibilities for it in Photoshop.

I love the way the light filters through the trees. The Metro Parks are beautiful in the fall.

That came out very nicely. Fading to the original is a good idea since some the the effects of Gertrudis can be too strong by themselves.

This is real nice work! I like the idea of blending the post worked layer with the original. It does give it a more natural look.
