Description
Since I first saw GhostofMacBeth's early morph tests with Lycanthropos, I knew his efforts would be perfect to depict a more faithful interpretation of Larry Niven's Kzinti. Who are what are the Kzinti? Rather than leaping to Wikipedia, let's jump straight to the source, author Larry Niven's personal domain:
http://www.larryniven.org/kzin/
(Use the legend to the right of Niven's photo to navigate the various Kzinti focused sub-pages.)
The physiology section describes them have having orange fur with yellowish stripes, but the gallery presents a majority of images, some by the renown fantasy artist, Larry Elmore, with the "rat-cats" bearing more terrestrial tiger markings, so at least I'm erring in good company.
This is actually a reworking of an earlier composition, one I created shortly after Lycanthropos and Gareee's additional morphs debuted. One can view it here:

Now, with GoM's morphs and textures, specifically the tiger motifs, I have hopefully improved the character. As before, I used Little_Dragon's "Bushy Tail" for the rat-like appendage and the Mil' Dragon's wings for the fin-like outer ears.
Sincerely,
Bill

Kzinti are just big fur balls that love to get scratched behind their ears. Good job.

Now that's what I call a kzin! :) I played the Ringworld PC game back in the 80's. I think the corrects forms of address for something like that from non-kzin are hero, master and sir. :) I loved the game. I read one of the books in the Ringworld series but I've forgotten most of it. There was a kzin cross over in the Star Trek the Animated Series. I seem to remember that Larry Nevin actually wrote that episode. I may be wrong. If you saw one of them smiling it means one of three things: The kzin is very angry; he is laughing because he just killed one of his siblings with a lethal prank; or he is hungry and you smell like food. I might dig up the Ringworld collection and read the books again. Your render is inspirational. I think I'll leave the nightlight on tonight. G.

very kool Kzinti, pretty much as described by Niven in his series of short stories "The Man-Kzin Wars".
