To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather
 Mina's daughter
Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.
After that the critics can write what they please.
I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

I'm glad you decided to share it Mina - the 'just foolin' around' images are often the best. Beautiful work, mood and textures my friend!

one of the things I love about your work is that you use whatever forms, images, feelings or visions you need to when you create, it's like you have limbs reaching to the ends of the world (and in your heart) and you call-on them when you need them. This is yet another Mina image, and it's very different from the last ones, but wholly you nevertheless. A face staring out from a back-alley, one of those stark & intimate views that you only see in alleyways and out-of-the-way streets; and you've textured it with cross-hatch and ghost-images...and that woman stares out as if from the back alley of her life, lost & seeking. It's really simple, but it has your touch, and it's melancholy yet direct and I think it speaks directly to all of us. More intimate vision from you, for which I remain always grateful. And nice placement of the face too (her eye is parallel to a window). Sensitive work as always. All my best to you, our resident prophetess, and happy MLK Day too!
