After the destruction of their home world, the Mog'therran, an intelligent, saurian species, took to the stars. Without the central power of their home world, their Empire of Many Suns fell apart, and the Mog'therran now ply the space lanes in massive family fleets. These fleets are available to the highest bidders and it is not unusual for a Mog'Therran armada to be on both sides of a conflict. The Greatships of the Mog'Therran nomadic fleets are some of the largest ships in known space. Each Greatship housies a small population center, hundreds of fighters, and is escorted by a dozen light cruisers. While not combat vessels, and too valuable to risk in open warfare, very few species want to face a ship with main guns larger than many cruisers. While there are many planets the Mog'Therran could settle, they seem not to be interested in replacing their home world. Perhaps it is because they had a physiological attachment, like salmon and their spawning pools...or perhaps they believe that by staying among the stars, it will be impossible to wipe out their species in one blow.
