Description

One flat surface, two poser figurer, two terrains, six spotlights, rendered in Bryce. Call it an exercise in sparseness, if you like.

Good detail & nice desert texture. Sunlight's looks realistic, too, which is never easy. Horizon clouds are a bit off-colour if it's midday-ish, but other than that it's great.

Sparse it may be, but it's a great image.

great idea...maybe would have had the figure slightly off-centre but that doesn't really matter with this one...clear crisp render.

I really like this character, and the way you've composed your scene.

Lovely composition and lite. Tiny tiny comment. The terrain around the head is blurry. Would imprive the image with more detail their. Details please! Hair/armor?? IMHO

Very nice picture! Now here comes my 'helpful comment' [critique ;)], I hope it's constructive: Some mountains in the far distance would be nice and there should be more haze [from the sand, it's stormy in deserts]. The pose is well done [fluid ;)] but it isn't quite clear WHY she goes there. And as Kate said, I would change the angle a bit to the side, too. Experimenting with the measures might be useful, too [i.e. choosing a portrait-like format]. Now that's enough with the critiques ;) I love the cloud shadows!

I also meant to mention that it was clever of you to put a stony surface where she's walking so you don't have to make footprints in the sand.

The clouds and their shadows are good: a break-up lighting from above! Mystical!
