Description

This image was fun to make. I wanted to keep the scene simple. Hence the use of only a few props. The theme for this piece is ascension…scaling unknown heights. The image was originally rendered 3000 by 3000. The image used props from Nike and Samilandich and the incredible characters Ainenna. Both allowed me to play around with their textures and get this result. I modified a set of lights from dream light to get the effect wanted. The fun began in post work. Several layers..Blending, colour adjustment and painted effects took place. I found a great effect can be achieved if you duplicate your layer and emboss it. I then changed the blending mode to hard light and played around with its opacity. Ron’s smoke brushes were used as well. Thanks for looking at this and your comments!

Freaking awesome piece of work Shane, gezus. Fantastic postworking, this is a rocking image man. I do that layer trick on a lot of Fracs, except I use Heavy Relief instead of Embossing, get a very nice Heavy Texture effect. Into the favs with this one Peace

FABULOUS! I love the smoke...where is it coming from and where is it going? I wonder the same thing about the figures and their headgear is amazing. EXCELLENT!
