Description

A challenge from some friends: Make an 'unlikely transformation' from one of your drawings, and use 100 steps in Photoshop! Others get to pick the drawing... They picked this (it's one of my first uploads--all pencils). Let me say: I didn't just 'pile on filters'--though that's fine: Many of you know, filters can be brushes & paints: I applied them step at a time until I got exactly what I wanted... As for kaleidoscopes: We weren't allowed kaleidoscope-software: So I pasted the segments & assembled the whole--it's not hard, just repetitive! (And it's actually very relaxing...) Hope they're fun to look at!
* * * * * * I think we're entering a new age: Let's offer whatever we can to make it so! Thanks for your wonderful visits they're always greatly appreciated! Peace, Mark

ANd first Ill say I so LOVE your drawing, the original one and you know it. Second I like so much what you have done to the drawing here. And I guess I like the first of the two processed images the most, even though I also like the second. Could I send my canvas to you, so you could put the middle one over to that ?? LOL !

Fabulous,Mark!!! a superb sequence! I shan't add any of your work to my favourites as you are one of my favourite artists so I can look any time I want, but I was sorely tempted with this! The middle one speaks to me about the whole process of getting a tool (like a brush) in your hand and a work of art happens as a result.

This is very exiting. The drawing is perfekt just the way it is. And still you manage to make the nekst step just as great and fantastic in colors and dept in the many layers. The last one is almost exsploding out at me. Very beautiful. Great work, I must say

YOW~~~~these just jump off the page and into my eyes!! They remind me of so many things, but I think mostly of the 60's. The posters of that time used colors and designs that are very similar to what you've done here--I LOVE this!!! Peace and love--what else could I possibly say??!!

100 steps? Wow... If you really did that many I am impressed since I would get lost in the process. These are very cool and such amazing results. Very well done!

Mark you did such an outstanding job answering the call of this challenge and your work here is incredible. I'm setting here amazed at how you were able to get effects like this considering the limits you placed on yourself as far as software you could use. Bravo :)

that evolution shows your love to art in so many ways and it also shows something about versatility, alterations, changes in a funny and playful way, mark :)

I see before me the tools of a master artist. Slowing and surely they begin to transform and start releasing their energy and light. They are taking on the energy of the universe and recreating it into forms that we know. At first there is a mild explosion light and color and then in a structured and thought out expression of energy and light the transformation begins and blossoms into the desired result of beauteous forms and colors. You have met your challenge well and won. Splendid work!
