Description

Electra is the Bright or Brilliant one, the flowing of molten metal - her name means Amber Coloured. One of Seven Sisters known as the Pleiads, hunting companions of the Arcadian Artemis. Many a night I saw the Pleiads, rising through the mellow shade, Glitter like a swarm of fire-flies tangled on a silver braid (Locksley Hall - Lord Tennyson) Thanks for looking

Wonderfully beautify work. Pleiads were pursued by the hunter Orion. They prayed to be rescued from him, so the gods transformed them into doves (peleiades), and placed among the stars. So poor Orion got rejected by 7 beautiful women. Definitely beats my record of 5 in one night. LOL....sigh!

I was wondering if we were ever going to see the image behind your beautiful avatar. So I see we share a love of rendering mythological dieties. This is a wonderfully crafted image with a lovely circular flow. The clouds craftilly outline her body. Very well composed.
