Description

This is a model I got in .3ds file type through a barter deal. Vue uses a proprietary specification for it's unlocakble purchased objects so I wouldn't buy one of those unless I actually owned the application and had a permanent stake in them. There is a Python script to convert my own common file types to vob but you need another module to run it in Vue. The is a script with no GUI if you can set up the input and output location in Console mode. I think Vue has better clouds than Carrara so this could have looked better in Vue. I tried it in Bryce which also has some interesting skies though the ocean is weaker. It has to be this big to see the rigging. Twice my screen size so use full screen and you still have to scroll when zoomed. Antialias doesn't cut it.

For me, one of the hardest things to get right in Poser is water. It would be interesting to see a Vue render of the same scene. I see what you mean about the clouds.

that's a REALLY BIG fellow at the helm. i recall seeing 'the cup' at the new york yacht club in manhattan... a long way from the water... bolted down 'cause it would never leave... those were the days (or, more likely, the daze)

You can import into Vue those files without converting and then save them out of Vue as VOBs. Talk about glassy seas!

FYI, Bryce has better water, and Vue better skys. I don't know where you get your info ? The water here is to shinny. The reflection is way to high. The boat is OK.
