Description
Honanki Pueblo, near Sedona, Arizona, was occupied ca. AD 1130 - 1300 by a people known to archaeologists as the Southern Sinagua. Construction was carried out in four separate phases, resulting in a total of at least 75 rooms and 25 storage cysts. Why the Sinagua abandoned this site remains a mystery. Also unknown is the final fate of the Sinagua, although it's very likely that their descendants became part of one (or more than one) of the Pueblo tribes living in the American Southwest today.

Fascinating bit of history/archaelogy. Leaves you with so many questions about the strange people who previously lived here. I'd love to take a look at the interior of the rooms and chambers built by them!
