Description

During the harvest moon, when the villages gather in the harvest and reap the crops from the year before winter, the faes, fairies, and gnomes are at their most active and most visible. They invade kitchens and cause havoc in homes after venturing from the surrounding woods. But some enjoy these autumn days and romp with the magic. I was going for a younger look of a teen who might dance with the fairies but I fear she looks a bit older than I wanted. Also think I overworked the image in post but I can't do anything about it now. It's kind of like real painting....you can make it muddy if you mix the colors too much. I've had the itch to paint something on canvas and I have my easel up and the supplies but here I sit looking at it while I tap away on the computer. I think I'm addicted, lol.

Great to see some new images from you. I don´t think you got too much postwork in this. When I´m in the same situation where I think I have screwed up an image in post I let it rest overnight and add even more postwork the following day. Strange enough I´m usually much happier with result after that. (my latest image "After the rain" was done that way..)

I think she looks farily youngish, maybe around 16 or so. And I don't think it's overworked at all. I love all the detail, I've spent a good 15-20 minutes examining it, LOL! I adore the little bluish fairies!!
