Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Very nicely done, Bill, an excellent photo of this charming barn! The roof has fared much better than the walls!

LOL Every time I see a green barn or one with a green roof, I think of Lynell. This is great and the color saturation is so perfect for her, too. Great job!

Beautiful shot of this old barn; it looks rather like it's being eaten away from the bottom. Great find!

What a neat picture of this old barn. Do you have any photos of round barns? I like barns and have seen some great round barns, but sadly, no photos of any of them.

Nice one, Bil. I see they used dressed stone in the foundation - must have been wealthy, or a lot of strong sons.

I adore old barns like this

Great capture and interesting make of the barn with part of it using what looks like pillars for support on the backside.

Great shot. Judging from the roof, it still has a few good years left. ;-) Off the side of Mtn in a few head back to the flat land..ugh. Have a good one.

it is amazing how some structures remain upright when a well constructed building blows away in a Kansas twister.outstanding find and capture

Quite stunning capture Bill.Like others, I'm surprised how good the roof looks compared to the rest.A good cause for restoration.

Great capture Bill! I love old structures like this!

Such character, with its built in ventilation system. It is great to see it still standing though, and it looks to have a few more seasons in it yet.

Superlative POV and clarity in this display of the barn, which I assume, has seen much better days.

Oh aren't you sweet. I love this, the close up view is fantastic so much detail, and I love how you got both the front and side fencing to almost frame this beauty... Definitely one I would have stopped for... Thank you Bill!

Awesome shot, Bill! With so many dedications, I guess pretty soon Lynell will become the Master of the Barns!

It amazes me that these still exist over there. Here they would have been stripped for fire wood in a matter of days. Different cultures and locals for sure. Very well done, Bill. Cheers, Clive
