Description

In consideration of legislation currently on the floor in Congress (such as the Blair Holt Act, and the revival with changes of the Fairness in Broadcasting Act), it appears that people in the United States will soon have to apply and pay for licenses to exercise the rights delinated in the Constitution. For example, we will be required to have a license to legally print a newspaper, broadcast radio, go to church, possess firearms, and own property, etc... After paying for the license, the new administration will have the authority to deny the license as well as the authority to revoke the license at any time. Anyone found exercising these and other rights without a license will be subject to arrest and imprisonment. To enforce these new acts, the current draft of the Economic Stimulus Package calls for the creation of 3 million new jobs in the form of a new Executive Branch agency, the Civilian National Security Force (CNSF). This agency will also oversee all the existing intelligence agancies. Not being police, they will not be subject to police brutality rules or the requirement to have warrents for arrest. Also, since President Obama just put an end to President Bush use of torture policies which restricted non-military agencies from using torture, the CNSF as a non-military agency will have full authority to torture anyone it suspects. I'M NOT STATING THAT THIS IS BAD. I'M ONLY RENDERING WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO ME.

Interesting render. I don't pay much attention to politics, but the pose does remind me of WW2, just replace the CNSF for a certain red, white & black emblem...

Ooh. Not good. I can see a new, and frustrated president doing just this. Nice image, though.

There are some mighty startling parallels between our current economic state, and that of a certain country in an earlier time. I did applaud what Obama has done regarding interrogation techniques, and I pray that a service corps is not implemented due to our current economic situation. Although a corps similar to the CCC back in the Great Depression was helpful, I cannot help but think that a similar corps implemented during our time, will eventually be used in the fashion depicted here. My gut says that this corps will be used to protect our borders (the news from Mexico is not good, for example), which could be a bad thing. O.k., rant off ^^ Chilling render -^

riiiiight! and the Dubya didn't do any of this sort of stuff when he was in power (that old Patriot Act thang... remember that one, where books were pulled from libraries.... you do remember libraries, right, and then there was Patriot Act 2.... oh how soon memories dissolve), all those illegal wiretaps, Homeland security just pulling names out of the aether to list people as terrorists, banning business from your borders.... Border Guards being imprisioned for doing their jobs..... would Obama do worse.... highly unlikely. average image.... as a suggestion, use single source lighting, more direction for deeper, more menacing shadows....more ominous...

You are so right, I'm afraid for this country, exchanging a Republic for socialism!
