Description

Hi folks. Dave (Magnus073) recently posted an image of kids playing in the snow. I commented that I loved snow as a kid but not as an adult. I mentioned that I usually sculpted snow rather than making a plain rolled ball snowman. I and my younger brother made this when I was about 10. (48 yrs ago) Some reporter took a picture of it and put in the paper. I was thrilled. I had all but forgotten it until I mentioned it to Magnus073. Two days later a letter arrived from my Aunt in Utah. She had recently found this pic and mailed it to my home. I didn't know a pic still existed of it.. so here it is.. a bit melted by the time this pic was taken. Point being: What are the odds that I should recall_mention this Snow creation and my Aunt suddenly comes across the pic and sends it (without anyone ever bringing up the subject with my aunt) on basically the same day? My life seems full of coincidences that defy the odds. I'm not talking about those regular ones where you hum a melody and find it playing next on the radio. I mean the ones that are less likely than winning a jackpot lotto 5 times in a row. These events have led me to believe we live in a synthetic universe. One that is manipulated on a regular basis. Some might argue that this is proof of Divine Intervention. I have reasons to discount this possibility based on statistical probabilities. I think we exist inside a simulation, a bit like the "Matrix" or "13th Floor". It goes like: If one universe exists and it has a billion stars in a galaxy and a billion Galaxies. And one civilization per galaxy that achieves science to build advanced simulators. That's one chance to exist in a real universe against a billion chances of living in a simulation. The odds we live in a simulation are a billion against one. I can also logically prove there are an infinite number of natural universes not created by a God. There are also an infinite number of Gods able to create universes of their own design. But the odds of living in a simulation still far outweigh the odds of living in a real universe, Divine or Natural. And someones messing with us...lol I'd like to say more but not enough space here.. what's your opinion? Hugs and best wishes from Dave :^) ******************************************************************

I remember this happening, while your Dad and I went shopping for Xmas. I left you and Ken with your grandparents. I came back, and the whole house was in an uproar. The newspaper people [Salt Lake Tribune] I believe, were taking pics, and the neighborhood was all out to see what all the hub-bub was about. It scared me at first, for I thought something had happened to you or Ken. That was quite a day and one hell of an exciting one to boot. I'm so glad you posted this pic. Quite a shock to get it from my sister, Arlene. Will love this forever, sweety. Thank you so much...Huggs...Silkylady...

Rotfl!!! You were an artist even then :) Thanks for sharing this. My best memory was when all the neighborhood kids got together and we rolled a snowball as tall as all of us till we couldn't roll it anymore. Took forever to melt :)

Well then Dave, if we are the stage for what ever may or may not be out there, then I would have to say.......This is NOT a dress rehearsal! Have you ever been thinking of someone only to have them call within the hour? What ever you may want to call it......it is an extraordinary event that ends happily. Awww.......so you are an artist eh? And you've been withholding your talents on us? Love it......Love the story even more. hugs Michelle

Some things have logical explanations, some things don't people hold onto to things ,she found it's logical to moi: I do believe however peoples minds connect,a friend and I do it a lot frank and I can think about the same thing at the same time even in another room and the subject was never even talked about: However I ditto--susan above I believe in such things as divine intervention:) I have a excellent reason to believe However,as you say cannot go into ones life story on here and even if I could it would not be up for debate as I will always believe: Either way it's fantastic and what a great memory frame it!~~ 5+ for Val 5 + for your post wow ~~~

Gee I remember those days. Making snow sculptures instead of the same old snowmen. That was a long time ago, sometimes I do miss those days. Now I just watch other kids do it. Great photo, thanks for the memories.

Well Dave ol buddy the "Matrix" it is ! People say God moves in mysterious ways when things go really wrong. I for one don't buy it one bit. Look at the world and the mess it's in. Would a loving God look down or up (another stupidity) and say it's cool I move in "Mysterious" ways folks don't worry about the mayhem it's fun. "GOD", a man made invention, a crutch. The USA is really hung up on this one, more so than other countries of the western world. Ya, the Matrix, a lunatic programmer playing with our heads makes more sense to me. A God, would not be that sick of a puppy. Cool looking snow "Person". One must be careful with the gender thing these days. Rock on young fella !
