Description
when working on my image with the droste effect i realized the repetion is also present in the russian matryoshka dolls.
to both my americanand russian friends i like to state that there is no political background intended.
to all: who says that?

I don't know about others, but my Russian friends are just that, my friends. Your image is wonderful, and for me speaks of how I have felt being the little red pawn at many times in my life. It never stops me from moving forward on my journey. Courage & strength little pawn!

i feel sorry for the little pawn but can identify with him, i esp. love the use of the russian dolls... puts some fun into this scene as well, many ways to look at it :)

great little image! you know, I thought of the old matryoshkas as soon as I saw your droste image. (Actually, the old Droste hot chocolate lady reminds me of a Matryoshka doll—maybe that's why I thought of it...) I guess the red guy is outnumbered, but being the only red in the lot, he's got the advantage because of the passion. Very funny, deftly done (as always) and another fine use of your figures. Oh, and I love the little drawing-lines on the edges of your figures—it's like they haven't shaved in a day! Rich bright colors too.

Excellent image. Well done! I also thought your image reminded me of the matryoshka dolls when I first saw it!

No political theme but nonetheless, thought invoking as symbolism abounds here.

I don't know if you have "Jante law" in your vocabulary (from the Norwegian author Sandemose)It begins just like this: Who do you think you are? Then there are nine more sentences like that, about not to stick out among others. A perfect illustration to that law here. Great symbolism Koosie!

What a gorgeous image!!!

makes up a wonderful connection to your latest! however, relating to the matryoshka, it's like a mother asking her newborn baby in the presence of the older children. can you imagine that?

Initial manufacturing of a nested doll of " Russian national crafts " is a toy for children, in due course turned in a political cartoon, and it is very sad. You the image is meaningful!!!
